How to add a live poll to your presentation
A live poll turns a statement into a conversation: the audience scans a QR code, votes on their phones, and the results animate on your slide while everyone watches. No app installs for the audience — just a browser.
Insert the Live Poll widget
On the slide where you want the vote, open Chart in the top toolbar and pick Live Poll from the live section. It drops onto the canvas like any other element — size and place it like a chart.
Write the question and options
With the poll selected, the Design panel holds the question text and the answer options. Add as many options as fit your question; the bars take the deck’s theme colors automatically (or your brand palette if you use one).
Present — the room joins by QR
Hit Present. The slide shows a join QR code and a short code for live.tchaku.com. Phones show the question the moment you reach the slide; every vote moves the bars live on the big screen.
Keep the results
When you end the session, the tallies are stored automatically. Find them later under Sessions in your dashboard — every question, every count, exportable as CSV.
Questions
- How many people can vote?
- Polls are built for rooms — workshops, classrooms, all-hands. The audience joins from any phone browser; there’s no per-participant charge on any plan.
- Can people vote twice?
- No — each device gets one vote per question, and changing a vote updates rather than duplicates it.
- Do voters need to install anything?
- No. The QR opens a web page; it works on any phone with a browser.
