How to make a live word cloud
Ask the room a one-word question — “describe this quarter,” “what’s blocking you” — and watch the answers assemble on the slide, sized by frequency. It’s the fastest way to take a room’s temperature.
Insert the Word Cloud widget
Pick Word Cloud from the Chart menu’s live section and place it on the slide. Set your prompt in the Design panel — one clear question works best.
Present — answers build the cloud
The room joins by QR. Each submission lands in the cloud immediately; repeated words grow. The layout re-fits itself so the cloud always fills the widget without overflowing the slide.
Read the room, keep the cloud
The biggest words are your talking points — riff on them live. Like every live widget, the final cloud is saved to Sessions in your dashboard when you end.
Questions
- What stops inappropriate words?
- Response length and volume are capped server-side — a heckler can’t flood your slide or post an essay.
- How many words can each person send?
- You choose the prompt; participants can submit multiple words, and duplicates from the same person don’t inflate the count.
